Cat range

Our range is based on a low-carbohydrate, high-protein formulation adapted to the needs of your cat, a lifelong carnivore!

NUTRITION CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE

When it comes to your cat’s health, apart from your love, nothing is more important than offering the right nutrition. Nutrition is key to keeping them in good shape and limiting the risks of developing health issues.

Nutrition needs to be balanced, which means it has to meet cats’ nutritional needs as well as specific requirements related to their age, lifestyle, bodyweight and health condition. And regardless of their lifestage or health status, cats are carnivores, and their nutrition should reflect this. A Low-Carbohydrate High-Protein formulation is the closest to their needs and preferences. A high share of high-quality animal protein is also essential to help promote urinary and skin health, as well as maintaining optimal bodyweight.

VETERINARY HPM® is an advanced range of lifestage and clinical diets, and both follow the same nutritional philosophy: cats are carnivores and should be fed accordingly, with high levels of high-quality protein, mainly of animal origin, and low levels of carbohydrate.

By nature, cats are small drinkers, which in some cases may lead to very concentrated urine and urinary issues such as crystals, stones and cystitis. This is why VETERINARY HPM® diets offer advanced solutions to help with this. High protein content helps to naturally stimulate drinking, and built-in supplements such as chitosan help to limit phosphorus excretion. Furthermore, the wet diets contain high levels of moisture, which means the amount of water ingested will naturally be higher. Combining VETERINARY HPM® wet and dry diets is a great solution for your cat, providing high-quality nutrition and optimal body water turnover. For instance, you may choose to give your cat one pouch a day of Adult Cat Wet with salmon alongside Adult Neutered Cat dry diet. Or if your cat has been diagnosed with urinary issues and your vet has advised feeding our Urology diet, it is possible to mix Urology Cat Wet with the Urology dry diets.

Skin / coat beauty

Proteins play an important role as they are an essential component of the skin and hair. Hair is 95% protein and almost 1/3 is used for skin renewal and hair growth. The role of protein is therefore fundamental to the beauty of the skin and coat.

Weight control

By promoting satiety and the development of lean body mass (including muscle) rather than fat, protein helps dogs and cats maintain a healthy weight. Fibre is also added as well as L-carnitine to help limit fat storage.

High digestive tolerance

A food that is too rich in carbohydrates can be poorly tolerated and cause loose stools and unpleasant odours.
Low carbohydrate levels, well digestible proteins and the addition of functional ingredients (lactobacilli, montmorillonite, sepiolite, etc.) help to maintain good digestive tolerance.

Tartar control

Pentasodium triphosphate supplementation helps to limit plaque and tartar formation and contributes to good oral health.

Urinary health

By stimulating drinking and promoting naturally acidic urine, protein helps to maintain good urinary health.
A functional ingredient, cynarin, is also added to help dilute his urine.

Kidney function

High protein content contributes to efficient water turnover in the body. Controlled phosphorus intake helps maintain good kidney health.

Low source of food allergies

To avoid food allergies, our food does not contain beef, dairy, egg, wheat, corn, gluten or soy (ingredients that can cause food allergies), which reduces the risk of food intolerance.

Joint and muscle support

The high protein content helps to maintain muscle mass. Chondroitin and chitosan supplementation helps maintain joint elasticity.

Low glycaemic index

A diet rich in protein and low in carbohydrates will stabilise blood sugar and insulin levels but also improve insulin sensitivity.

Immune support

Supplementation with beta-glucan (brewer's yeast wall extract) promotes the cat's acquisition of its own defence system.
